A Journey from Questions to the Voice
I never intended to write a book about my own journey.
Honestly, the idea felt presumptuous—who was I to think my story mattered enough to fill pages that others might read? But as I reflected on God’s faithfulness through the years, from childhood curiosity to adult faith, I began to sense that perhaps this story wasn’t really mine at all. Maybe it belonged to anyone who has ever asked the big questions, anyone who has felt that restless hunger for meaning, anyone searching for the Voice behind everything.
As a disciple of Christ, I aspire to lead others to Him through my actions—and sometimes, reluctantly, through my words on a page.
Recently, I completed two books that tell the same story but speak to different hearts: “Searching for the Voice: How Questions Led Me Home to Christ“ for adults, and “The Boy Who Asked Big Questions“ for children ages 6-9. Both chronicle my journey from that curious six-year-old dismantling stereos to a man who discovered that the Voice he was searching for had been calling his name all along.
Why Two Books?

The simple answer is this: truth doesn’t change, but how we communicate it must.
When I wrote the adult version, I wrestled with complex philosophical questions, explored comparative religion, and delved into the intellectual challenges that shape modern faith. I wrote for the skeptic, the seeker, the questioning believer—those who need theological meat alongside their spiritual milk.

But as I watched my own children ask their own big questions about life and God, I realized something profound: the heart-hunger for meaning begins early. Children possess an unfiltered curiosity about the divine that we adults often lose beneath layers of complexity and doubt.
So I wrote the kids’ version, stripping away the academic jargon while preserving the essential truth: Jesus is the Voice we’ve all been searching for.
What These Books Are Really About
These aren’t just memoir or simple children’s stories. They’re something I hope is more valuable: apologetics wrapped in narrative. My goal wasn’t to write another autobiography, but to use one person’s journey to address the questions we all ask: Is there meaning to life? How do we know God exists? Why do different religions make such different claims? Can faith and reason coexist?
Through the journey of one curious boy asking hard questions, I’ve tried to weave together personal testimony with thoughtful answers to the intellectual challenges that often keep people from faith. Rather than presenting these as abstract theological arguments, I’ve embedded the answers within the lived experience of someone who wrestled with these very questions and found satisfying answers in Christ.
The Heart Behind Both Stories
My hope isn’t merely that readers will find these books informative or even inspiring. My prayer is that they will encounter Christ Himself through these pages.
You see, I wasn’t trying to write another Christian memoir or apologetics treatise. I was trying to answer the most fundamental human question: What gives life meaning? And I discovered that the answer isn’t a philosophy or system—it’s a Person.
For adult readers grappling with doubt, wrestling with life’s hardest questions, or feeling spiritually dry, I hope “Searching for the Voice” offers both intellectual honesty and spiritual refreshment. Faith doesn’t require us to check our brains at the door, but it does ask us to humble our hearts before the One who created those brains.
For young readers just beginning to wonder about God, purpose, and their place in the universe, I hope “The Boy Who Asked Big Questions” validates their curiosity while pointing them toward the God who delights in children’s questions. Christ said we must become like little children to enter the kingdom of heaven—perhaps because children haven’t yet learned to complicate the simple truth that God loves them.
Why This Story Matters Now
We live in an age of unprecedented access to information yet increasing spiritual poverty. We can Google/ChatGTP any fact but struggle to find meaning. We’re more connected than ever yet feel profoundly alone. We have more entertainment options than previous generations could imagine, yet surveys show rising rates of anxiety, depression, and existential emptiness.
Both books address this modern malaise by returning to ancient truth: we are made in God’s image, designed for relationship with our Creator, and our hearts remain restless until they find their rest in Him.
Whether you’re a parent reading alongside your child, a skeptic investigating Christianity, or a believer seeking to deepen your faith, my prayer is that these books will remind you of something beautiful: you are not an accident, your questions matter to God, and the Voice you’ve been searching for is closer than you think.
An Invitation to Stay Hungry
As I often say, “Stay Hungry for the meaning of life.” Not hungry for answers that satisfy temporarily, but hungry for the Answer who satisfies eternally.
Both versions of this story are ultimately invitations—invitations to take apart life’s stereos not just to see how they work, but to discover Who has been singing through them all along. They’re invitations to move beyond knowing about God to knowing God personally through Jesus Christ.
My story doesn’t end with finding the Voice—that’s where the real adventure begins. And I believe the same can be true for every reader willing to listen for the sound of their name being called by the One who formed them, breathed life into them, and has been pursuing them with relentless love.
The Voice you’ve been searching for isn’t hiding. He’s calling your name, right now, through these very words.
What will your response be?
Where to Find These Books
If you feel drawn to explore either of these stories, both books are available in print and ebook formats on all major platforms. The audiobook versions will be available soon for those who prefer to listen along the journey.
I’ve also created simple websites where you can find more details about both books and discover where to get them. More importantly, there’s a section on each site where readers can share their own stories—if these books happen to impact your journey in any way, I’d be deeply honored to hear about it. Sometimes God uses our small offerings in ways we never expected, and hearing how He might work through these pages would be an incredible encouragement.
You can find the adult version at searchingforthevoice.com and the children’s book at theboywhoaskedbigquestions.com. I pray that if you do pick up either version, you’ll encounter not just my story, but the Voice who has been writing yours all along.
Whether you’re 6 or 60, the journey toward meaning begins with curiosity and ends with Christ.
